Thor: Ragnarok has now hit theatres around the world and it is receiving universal critical acclaim – and with good reason. It really is a superb movie and it truly elevates the MCU to new, never before seen levels of epicness. It’s action-packed, it’s colourful, it’s side-splittingly funny and it is blowing audiences away. The directions in which the franchise could now go as a result of what we saw in Thor: Ragnarok are extremely intriguing and this video will look at some theories about that very subject. We hope you enjoy it! The theories in question are as follows; that it has subtly introduced some new heroes for the Avengers: Infinity War movie (in the form of Beta Ray Bill, Ares and Man-Thing), that it has opened the door for new godly pantheons to be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (such as the Greek pantheon, which includes the likes of Zeus, Hercules and the aforementioned Ares, for example), that it has unlocked the possibility of a movie based on the Secret Invasion story happening in the future, that is has also unlocked the possibility of a movie based on the Siege story happening in the future, that it has unlocked the possibility of a movie version of the World War Hulk story happening in the future, that it signifies an increase in the prominence of magic going forward in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that it has foreshadowed the imminent demise of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in the franchise.

Thor: Ragnarok has finally hit all markets across the world and the film has been getting nothing but praise from fans and critics alike. Indie director Taika Waititi has made a unique and ambitious comic book movie that blends drama with quirky humor. Despite the heaps of praise the film is getting though, there are some glaring issues with the film. For instance, the much publicized humor that was featured in the film actually got in the way of some of the more dramatic and emotional points of the film. While the new tone was a welcome addition, it did also hurt the film in some scenes. Furthermore on that note, it’s never really explained how or why Thor has gone from serious warrior to goofy superhero. But there’s more issues than just the tone. Where is Lady Sif and why did the Warriors three’s death ever get mentioned to Thor at the end of the film? They were his best friends and the film totally glossed over such an event. The heavily marketed gladiator match between Thor and Hulk also felt like it could have been so much more. Instead, it just felt like a pit stop within the film instead of an important scene. The once great villain Loki has been reduced to being bested by his brother in this film and is regularly beaten down despite being able to hold his own against Thor in previous films. Hela makes her MCU debut and while she is certainly menacing, played by Cate Blanchett, she is still a one note villain in Marvel’s roster. The film never explains Thor’s newfound grammar styles and never shows Thor being surprised he can now talk to his fellow Avenger and there’s a huge plot hole in the film concerning electricity and the God of Thunder.

Netflix is like a revolving door of content. With movies, TV shows, and comedy specials, it’s hard to keep track of everything coming to the digital streaming service. Thankfully, Netflix likes to announce things ahead of time, so you can prepare your queue and get excited for what the company has to offer. 2018 is filled with all types of new television series that could become huge hits.

Emma Stone and Jonah Hill are teaming up for the bizarre comedy and drama series known as Maniac. Arrested Development felt like it was a one and done season for the Netflix revival, but there will be a season 5 released at some point in 2018. Netflix has done a lot of revivals, spin-offs, and remakes including the future release of Lost in Space. The Brazilian show “Samantha!” will focus on a former child star looking to make it big again. The Coen Brothers have entered the world of Netflix with a western anthology series known as The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. The French series Osmosis will feature a digital dating app that can find your true love using special technology. Zombies are coming to Netflix in the form of Kingdom, a Korean-based series. An Australian mystery named Tidelines will premiere in 2018 and feature a lot of beautiful footage from the land down under. Black Earth Rising has been kept under wraps a lot, but will focus on solving and punishing individuals for war crimes. IF you’ve never watched the Netflix show Love, 2018 would be a great time as it enters season 3. Watch to learn more about these original shows!
