Pop culture fans in general simply love coming up with theories about their favourite cinematic and television offerings – but arguably none more so than superhero fans.

Whether it’s theories about Marvel movies and TV shows, DC movies and TV shows, or otherwise, superhero fans are always discussing their thoughts online – and sometimes their ideas end up coming true.

In this video, we’ll take you through some of the most prominent Marvel fan theories that ended up becoming a reality.

The theories in question include (in no particular order); that Stan Lee’s characters in the MCU were all actually the same person, that the kid in the Iron Man mask in Iron Man 2 was actually Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man, that Professor X has transferred his consciousness into the body of his twin brother in the X-Men franchise, that Skye is actually Daisy Johnson AKA Quake in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., that Kilgrave would return in the second season of Jessica Jones, that Loki’s sceptre in The Avengers actually had the Mind Stone in it, that Wolverine’s death in Logan was foreshadowed in The Wolverine, that Planet Hulk would be adapted in some way in the MCU, that Nightcrawler had retired from superhero duties in the X-Men franchise, and that the Fantastic Four reboot would be absolutely garbage!

OUR FAVORITE EASTER EGGS IN DEADPOOL 2. Deadpool 2 was one of the most eagerly anticipated movies of 2018 and it didn’t disappoint. With the humour we’ve come to expect, there are some great references to other films and characters, and we’re going to tell you all about them.

It takes a lot for a new superhero movie to stand out in a crowded field, but that’s exactly what Deadpool did when it hit cinemas in early 2016. This wisecracking and filthy mouthed Marvel comic book hero became a new icon for a new generation who had got a bit bored with cleaner heroes. One of the many things we loved about him was that he kinda knew he was a comic book character, so the film had plenty of pop culture references. Now that the sequel has recently been released, that was still the case, only more so, and today we’re going to tell you about some of the Easter Eggs.

While Deadpool 2 was a big deal, Avengers: Infinity War was perhaps even bigger. Both films had one thing in common: Josh Brolin, who played Thanos in Infinity War and plays Cable in Deadpool 2. When Cable got too annoying for Wade Wilson, he was told “zip it, Thanos.” There’s also a nod to classic comedy This Is Spinal Tap, not to mention a reference to Ryan Reynold’s friend Taylor Swift and her cats. You’ll also learn about references to other MCU movies like Black Panther and, of course, X-Men. In fact, we’ll even tell you about iconic Canadian X-Men spin-off Alpha Flight and how the guys who didn’t capture Wolverine got a nod on Dopinder’s taxi. There were a huge number of characters in Avengers: Infinity War – and they all got their moment in the spotlight in the movie.

Infinity War saw aliens, gods, androids and indeed humans all participating in the same fight – and that inevitably resulted in some serious mismatches (or at least some fights that looked like they should be mismatches on paper).

In order to make those mismatches seem a bit more fair, on some occasions, characters who were incredibly powerful ended up… let’s call it underperforming… normally for the sake of the plot.

In this video, we’ll take you through ten characters who were seriously underpowered in Avengers: Infinity War – and be warned, the video definitely DOES contain major spoilers for the movie.

The underpowered characters in question that we’ll be including are; Tom Hiddleston’s beloved God of Mischief Loki, Carrie Coon’s Proxima Midnight of the Black Order, Michael James Shaw’s Corvus Glaive of the Black Order, Chadwick Boseman’s Wakandan king T’Challa AKA the Black Panther, Chris Pratt’s cocky leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy Star-Lord, Pom Klementieff’s empathic and bug-like Mantis, Terry Notary’s hulking Cull Obsidian of the Black Order, Elizabeth Olsen’s mysterious Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany’s powerful android the Vision, and Mark Ruffalo’s big green brute the Hulk.
