Well today, your dreams have come true because James has a Mystery Box Challenge where Mike will try to make a lasagne with 100 LAYERS using unused ingredients from our studio kitchen. This masterpiece was invented by Chef, Mark Ladner in 2009 for the New York City restaurant, Del Posto. That’s 50 layers of fresh pasta, in between another 50 layers of sauce. Sounds easy, right?

Ingredients:
9 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
5 tablespoons baking powder
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup vegetable shortening

Directions:
Whisk flour, dry milk powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl until thoroughly combined. Cut shortening into dry ingredients with a pastry cutter, about 1/2 cup at a time, until mixture resembles cornmeal. Store in an air-tight container for up to 3 months.
