Red Bull Soapbox Race 2013 is back in Taiwan.

Red Bull Soapbox Race first took place in 2000, and has visited over 80 countries since it’s inaugural season. September 29th, 2013 marked the first time Soapbox has visited Taiwan, making it the only Asian country to host the event this year. The event saw over 50 teams race full speed down a track over 350 meters long in their home-made cars before finishing at the entrance of the Taipei National University of the Arts. Passionate, ingenious, and zany teams all battled it out to be crowned champ of speed, creativity, and overall showmanship.

Princess Zelda: Hy-Rulerz (LORDE Royals remix)

In this parody mash-up from @bryan_basham (COPS: Skyrim, The Death and Return of Superman), Princess Zelda presents a love letter to her best friend, Link, and his lifestyle of fighting Octorocks, bombing Dodongos and generally kicking Ganon’s ass all over the place. The video is filled to the brim with Zelda references that helped define most of our childhoods.

It’s a loving über tribute to the entire history of Zelda: starting with it’s 8-bit origins and following the series all the way to it’s latest next-gen incarnations. Even though the games, monsters, plot lines and graphics may change, one thing stays the same:

Zelda loves Link. And Link loves boomerangs, magic rings and breaking the shit out of some clay pots.
