Take the Wii U for example. Seriously, just take it away. It’s a better system than lots of people give it credit for, but it was a failure out of the gate and it never found its footing. Another console that stumbled early thanks to Nintendo’s poor planning was the Nintendo 3DS. The system eventually found a dedicated player base, but it took more time than it should have. Going back further, another huge misstep was Nintendo’s failure to embrace CD technology in the Nintendo 64. That started Nintendo’s unfortunate trend of turning away from third-party developers who then flocked to the competition.

Speaking of competition, at one point in the ‘90s, after the release of the SNES, Nintendo had the chance to partner with Sony on a new piece of hardware. The plan failed, resulting in Sony’s release of the PlayStation and its successors, a set of consoles that would give Nintendo a trouncing most console generations. Then there was the Virtual Boy, which, the less said about it the better. And Nintendo’s utter failure to embrace the internet until way after its competitors had. In terms of peripherals, you can’t do much worse than the Power Glove even though it looked so cool! Even Nintendo’s latest big releases, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, have their share of mistakes. Without further ado, here are 10 unforgettable Nintendo video game mistakes.

The Last Jedi: Easter Eggs and Cameos You Totally Missed

The Last Jedi: Easter Eggs and Cameos You Probably Missed! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

Watching a spectacle like Star Wars: The Last Jedi includes a lot of surprises, details, and fast-paced action. This may cause you to miss some of the smaller details included in the movie. With rich scenes and so many characters, The Last Jedi is filled with references to the original Star Wars trilogy, Star Wars video games, and to actors like Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.

During our introduction to Finn, we see him strapped up to a bacta suit. The body-healing suit is an obvious upgrade from Luke Skywalkers Bacta tank. Luke’s trademark green lightsaber from Return of the Jedi makes a return during a surprising flashback scene. Little details like Luke’s burn scar and Kylo’s scar add some nice homages to other Star Wars film. An alien critter is inspired by Carrie Fisher’s pet dog. Finn and Rose search for the Master Codebreaker, played by a famous actor and screenwriter. There are no Ewoks in The Last Jedi, but an actor who played one does have a cameo. Slowen Lo’s casino character is played by Joseph-Gordon Levitt. Colored milk makes a huge return in the form of Luke’s island. Rogue One director Gareth Edwards plays one of the Resistance troopers ready for a fight. Frank Oz plays the role of Yoda and returns to the big screen again. Rey lifts rocks to save the Resistance fighters in a moment that feels oddly similar to Luke’s training. Luke loves to hide his X-Wing underwater and does the same while living on the small island. Snoke’s throne room is very similar to the same room found in the Empire Strikes Back. Watch to see all these Last Jedi Easter Eggs and several more!

Steven Spielberg directs Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks in The Post, a thrilling drama about the unlikely partnership between The Washington Post’s Katharine Graham (Streep), the first female publisher of a major American newspaper, and editor Ben Bradlee (Hanks), as they race to catch up with The New York Times to expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that spanned three decades and four U.S. Presidents. The two must overcome their differences as they risk their careers – and their very freedom – to help bring long-buried truths to light.

The Post marks the first time Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg have collaborated on a project. In addition to directing, Spielberg produces along with Amy Pascal and Kristie Macosko Krieger. The script was written by Liz Hannah and Josh Singer, and the film features an acclaimed ensemble cast including Alison Brie, Carrie Coon, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Tracy Letts, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, Jesse Plemons, Matthew Rhys, Michael Stuhlbarg, Bradley Whitford and Zach Woods.

10 Critically HATED Video Games That Players LOVE

DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH. For every handful of awful games that gets released, an unnoticed gem squeaks through the machinery. Sometimes, critics and fans alike miss out on some of the best games on the market.

This is TheGamers list of Critically Hated Video Games That Are Actually Amazing. What overlooked games are some of your favorites? Let us know in the comments section below!

Alien Isolation got largely ho-hum reviews, even though it’s a phenomenal game for fans of horror, stealth, and, well, Alien movies. Hardly anyone gave Hitman (2016) a chance, probably thanks to its episodic release schedule. They missed out on one of the best games of the year. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West was a sleeper masterpiece in the Xbox 360 era, aided by the writer of Ex Machina and Andy Serkis, the actor who played Golum (and most other CGI characters you remember). Then there are Mass Effect: Andromeda and The Order: 1886, games that fell victim to their own hype.

It was a misstep to release Mad Max on the same day as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It’s also easy, with a little effort, to overlook the flaws of Skyrim VR to see its open-world majesty. Who could forget the whole No Man’s Sky debacle, despite that it’s a pretty chill universe exploration simulator? And people scoffed at 1-2 Switch, even though it’s a killer party game for non-gamers. If you’re going to pick a game to hate on, New Super Mario Bros. 2 seems like an odd choice.
