‘British Schindler’ Nicholas Winton dies at 106

Sir Nicholas Winton, who was instrumental in rescuing almost 700 children headed for Nazi concentration camps, has died at the age of 106.

He arranged for children to be evacuated from Prague and Vienna for a new life in Britain – but kept quiet about it for much of his life.
