A New Climate: What Antarctica tells us about the past – and the future

There’s a warning that the coming year is the “last chance” for world leaders to tackle climate change.

The bosses of the Environment Agency and Natural England have written a joint article saying decisive action needs to be taken in 2020 or there will be “dire consequences”.

Sky News is heading on a six-week mission with the British Antarctic Survey to the driest, windiest and most remote place on earth.

We hope to find out what impact a changing climate is having on the frozen continent, and what consequences that could have for the future of the planet.
