A New Climate: UN chief warns of ‘catastophic’ climate change impact

If the world’s greenhouse gas emissions are not reduced by 7.6% each year the impact on the planet will be “catastrophic”, the United Nations chief has warned.

Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who was talking on the first day of the COP25 climate summit in Madrid, said he is “disappointed” with efforts around the globe to cut emissions.
