9 Disney Characters You Didn’t Realize Were Related

While we all know that Disney absolutely loves to hide secrets and Easter eggs in all of their movies, what you might not know is that their characters have way more in common than meets the eye! So much so, that certain characters actually belong to the same family tree, whether related by blood or by marriage. While you might think you know some, certain family connections might totally shock you. Hercules and Ariel are actually first cousins once removed, Moana and Te Fiti bear a striking resemblance and are probably also distant relations, and there’s the fact that Anna and Elsa are actually Rapunzel’s cousins, and that their parents were on their way to her wedding when they became shipwrecked. Andy’s mom was the original owner of the cowgirl toy Jesse as a little girl, who later passed it down to her son might just break your heart. Tarzan is actually Anna and Elsa from Frozen’s long lost brother, after their parents were washed ashore in the jungle by the shipwreck that took them from their daughters. Prince Eric and Prince Philip are also probably members of the same royal family. The Evil Queen is actually Snow White’s real mother, and is also probably the same terrible stepmother who kidnapped and raised Rapunzel for her own. And finally, there is little doubt in our minds that Belle from Beauty and the Beast is the great, great grandmother of Jane from Tarzan. Big shoutout to our friends over at The Gamer for collaborating on this one!
