Are you excited for the fourth season of Rick and Morty? If so, you’re not alone, but you may be waiting a while. We’ll let you know what the holdup is on season four of Rick and Morty, and tell you why season three took so long to come out. Despite its simple style, production of the show is incredibly complex. It uses a challenging technique called retroscoping, which is a strain on the voice actors and animators. And as the show gets bigger, everyone is feeling the strain to make it better and better. Co-creator Dan Harmon has a history of stepping back from projects when they become too much, and many fear he may do so here. The other co-creator, Justin Roiland, has a long history of half finished projects, and we would be saddened but not surprised if he added Rick and Morty to the list.
