MARIO VS. LINK. Two of Nintendo’s most iconic characters have been compared to each other for years. At first glance, Link seems to have the edge, but there are several advantages for Mario as well.

Two of Nintendo’s biggest franchises are Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda. Both franchises are led by heroes who seek to save the Princess and impress gamers along the way. Through the years, Link and Mario have been compared, but a Master Sword alone doesn’t give Link all the advantages. Mario may look like an ordinary plumber, but he has a few tricks up his sleeve and knows how to defeat the competition.
One of Mario’s biggest advantages is his ability to make friends. Link may go on these grand adventures, but he’s often alone. Even on Mario’s solo adventures, he’s able to find friendship and a companion along the way. Mario may seem a little overweight, but there’s no denying his impressive jumping skills. Through the years, Mario has made some crazy leaps, incredible jumps and hopped over gaps like you wouldn’t believe. Link’s jumps are weak in comparison and he operates more like a regular human rather than a video game hero. Mario and Link are known all over the world, but there are a couple of things giving Mario the edge in the recognition category. Mario can not only jump far, but his ability to gather Mushroom powers allows him to excel in combat and have all kinds of crazy upgrades. Mario is Mario. The one and only. Link on the other hand, is not always Link. The spirit of Link is a little more complicated than it sounds and takes away from the true legacy of the character.
