Prior to the release of his awesome first solo movie back in 2008, Tony Stark AKA Iron Man was really nothing more than a B-list superhero – especially in terms of his popularity in mainstream circles (many non-comic book fans had never even heard of him!).
Now, however, thanks to Robert Downey Jr.’s brilliant and iconic ongoing portrayal of the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he’s right up there with the likes of Batman, Superman and Spider-Man in terms of his global popularity.
With that popularity comes the realisation to many people that Iron Man is far from being a one-trick pony – he doesn’t only have one suit of powered armour.
Tony Stark has worn countless variations of his classic armour over the years – all of which improve on the original in some way.
In this video, we’ll run you through 25 Iron Man armours that are even cooler than the original version.
The armours include the likes of the Hulkbuster armour, the Thorbuster armour, the Galactus-buster armour, the Phoenix Killer armour, the Bleeding Edge armour, an Anti-Magneto armour, the Iron Man Noir armour, the Iron Lantern armour, and an armour that can turn into a sports car!
