Nintendo and Sony have had a long history together, a history that almost resulted in a very different looking Super Nintendo console. Once the two companies went their separate ways, they began competing with each other. Over the years, we’ve seen the same trend: Sony copying ideas directly from Nintendo. From games to hardware, it’s hard to deny Sony borrowing a few ideas from Nintendo over the years.

Nintendo has been known for their landmark fighting series Super Smash Bros., but Sony tried to make a clone game known as the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Of course, the game features classic and lesser known characters and the in-game functions are almost exactly like Super Smash Bros. The PlayStation controller has evolved over the years, but kept the same basic design. It just turns out the design was pretty much cloned from the Super Nintendo controller. Nintendo had a lot of success with their line of Nintendogs video games and Sony tried to get in on the mix with a Vita game featuring puppies that looks almost exactly the same. One of Sony’s biggest rip-offs was the PlayStation Move. The motion controller system tried to stand out from the crowd with small light-up balls, but there was no denying how much the controllers ripped off the Nintendo Wii. The Nintendo 64 completely changed gaming with the introduction of the rumble pack. Shortly after, Sony introduced a rumble pack of their own. Watch to see all of the different ways Sony has ripped off Nintendo over the years.

D.C. and Marvel Comics alike have been rivals within the movie, video game, television, and of course, the comic book industry, for several decades. However, one may be surprised that both companies actually collaborated on a fictional universe known as Amalgam Comics, which not only merged dozens of Marvel and D.C. characters together to bring in awesome combinations, but also complex storylines and far more menacing villains! So, in this video we will be diving into some of the most popular and widely known Amalgam characters that are sure to surprise you!

Doctor Doom is an insanely intelligent supervillain who not only
has wielded the power cosmic and magic, but also merged with Doomsday, the seemingly un-killable perfect being who pounded the life out of Superman. One might think that Batman is cool enough as it is, but what if he were given a nice, sharp pair of indestructible adamantium claws? The Flash is not only fast and crazy overpowered, but give him supernatural powers, hellfire chains, in addition to the menacing penance stare, and you get the Speed Demon! Galactus, the devourer of worlds is one of the most powerful antagonists within the Marvel Universe, but grant him the technological prowess of DC’s Brainiac, and you get a vastly more menacing threat!

Even Captain America, a World War 2 hero who obtained his superhuman abilities due to a serum, became fused with arguably the most well-known superhero of all time, Superman. However, the Super Soldier wouldn’t be complete without his contrasting ally, the Iron Lantern, who like Tony Stark, is not only a rich, playboy, genius, philanthropist, but also became the owner of a metallic suit with the battery of an alien lantern. There are more cool combos within this ultimate mashup, so be sure to sit back and relax as we go over DC/Marvel characters you didn’t know were merged!
