However, one may be surprised that both companies actually collaborated on a fictional universe known as Amalgam Comics, which not only merged dozens of Marvel and D.C. characters together to bring in awesome combinations, but also complex storylines and far more menacing villains! Doctor Doom is an insanely intelligent supervillain who not only
has wielded the power cosmic and magic, but also merged with Doomsday, the seemingly un-killable perfect being who pounded the life out of Superman. One might think that Batman is cool enough as it is, but what if he were given a nice, sharp pair of indestructible adamantium claws? The Flash is not only fast and crazy overpowered, but give him supernatural powers, hellfire chains, in addition to the menacing penance stare, and you get the Speed Demon! Galactus, the devourer of worlds is one of the most powerful antagonists within the Marvel Universe, but grant him the technological prowess of DC’s Brainiac, and you get a vastly more menacing threat!
Even Captain America, a World War 2 hero who obtained his superhuman abilities due to a serum, became fused with arguably the most well-known superhero of all time, Superman. However, the Super Soldier wouldn’t be complete without his contrasting ally, the Iron Lantern, who like Tony Stark, is not only a rich, playboy, genius, philanthropist, but also became the owner of a metallic suit with the battery of an alien lantern.
