10 Movies You Didn’t Realize Are Actually About Religion

If you’ve never seen Sausage Party, you probably never guess it has a much deeper meaning! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

Religion has been a part of movies for a long time. From cinematic epics like The Ten Commandments to faith-based films like I Can Only Imagine, these movies often take religion head-on. Then there are films disguised as mainstream entertainment but actually have a lot of religious themes tied into them. From characters to plots, there are 10 movies you didn’t know are actually about religion.

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory focuses on several religious sins and the punishments the children receive for those sins. The original Planet of the Apes tackles the debate of science versus religion in several key scenes. Disney’s Frozen showcases a much deeper meaning between the actions of both Anna and Elsa. Harry Potter may deal with witchcraft, but the character of Harry has a lot more to do with the bible than critics of the series even realize. Alien 3 brought viewers to a whole different planet, but our hero chooses to take some pretty biblical actions along the way. The Jungle Book not only has religious themes, but is a character who uses scripture as a quote in the movie. Stitch may be a wild alien in Lilo and Stitch, but is the characters actually a guardian angel? The Avengers: Age of Ultron doesn’t just showcase heroes in action, it plays on theories of god and man-made creations. The Lion King is not only related to the story of Hamlet, but the film has several references to bible stories as well. Sausage Party may be a dirty gross-out movie about food, but the animated film manages to tackle all types of religion in one movie. Watch to see all these hidden messages and meanings.

When most people think of video games, they not only think of the fun they’ll have playing them, but also the outrageous price. It’s no surprise to anyone who plays video games. The prices have always been steep and not everyone can afford all of the video games they want, all of the time. In a perfect world, video games would be more affordable so that everyone could easily purchase them.

The current video game trend is microtransactions, however, so it looks like the video game industry isn’t going to be slashing prices for gamers any time soon. Between the initial purchase price of a console or the cost of building a gaming PC, it seems as though the cost of playing video games has become more expensive over the years. Then there’s the cost of the games which, nowadays, hardly contain a full game with all the pay to play DLC available after the initial release date. Microtransactions in the form of loot boxes and even skins, at this point, seem like highway robbery when the initial cost of starting to game are considered. So what’s a gamer to do?

Start looking into free games, of course! While not all of them are AAA video game titles, some of them are actually pretty good. In fact, some of them are good enough that you wouldn’t even know they were free! From MMORPGs to first person shooters, it looks like there is a free game for basically everyone to play and enjoy.
