Religion has been a part of movies for a long time. From cinematic epics like The Ten Commandments to faith-based films like I Can Only Imagine, these movies often take religion head-on. Then there are films disguised as mainstream entertainment but actually have a lot of religious themes tied into them. The Lion King is not only related to the story of Hamlet, but the film has several references to bible stories as well.
