Dungeons, levels and missions have become a staple of the video game industry. There is no point in playing a game if there is no end goal or direction for the story to go in. Even open-world games, where you can do whatever you want, have a main storyline. We all play video games for their story and gameplay with the end goal of seeing those credits roll. Some levels can be so easy while others can be incredibly difficult. Some video games are at a set difficulty so the only way to defeat these difficult levels is through practice and repetition. At one point or another, we’ve all gotten stuck in a video game level. Sometimes we’re stuck for only a few minutes, but other times it can last years and maybe even a lifetime. This could be due to incredible level design full of thrilling puzzles and twists or it could be due to terrible level design that makes the level absolutely infuriating. Whatever the case may be, we’ve all been there.
When we think of confusing video game levels, the iconic Water Temple from the Legend of Zelda is usually the first thing that pops into people’s heads. While many Zelda players don’t think the level was that convoluted, a lot of other players cringe when you simply say the words Water Temple.
