The DC Extended Universe started late behind Marvel’s universe and still feels like it’s playing a little catch-up. After a few fumbles towards the beginning, the DCEU is slowly getting back on track and delivering some crazy movies along the way. There are ten movies that can help establish the DCEU as a powerhouse in the film industry and something that should be taken seriously when compared to the MCU.
After the Justice League hits theaters, Aquaman is the next solo film to get released. It will introduce movie fans to the world of Atlantis and has an all-star cast that should deliver a great story. Wonder Woman helped make the DCEU go in a positive direction and it should continue with the release of Wonder Woman 2. The Flash movie will focus on the Flashpoint comic book arc and could help bring a lot of fans of the television show to the movie theater. Shazam will act as a unique entry in the DCEU and is a great way to introduce the character of Black Adam. Harley Quinn’s first return to the big screen won’t be in Suicide Squad 2, but rather in Gotham City Sirens, a film that teams her up with Poison Ivy and Catwoman. The Green Lantern Corps will attempt to repair the damage done with the disappointing Green Lantern movie from 2011. It won’t be until 2020 when we see Cyborg return to the big screen for his first solo adventure. Will Smith and Margot Robbie will reunite together for Suicide Squad 2 and bring another interesting tale to the big screen. A whole new Justice League will be introduced to fans as Constantine will be the leader in Justice League Dark. Ben Affleck looks like he will be returning for a Batman solo film that could pit him one on one against Deathstroke.
