There are now only a few months until the much-anticipated Hellboy reboot is released – it’s out in January of next year, incidentally, guys – and we simply can’t wait for it!
The previous two Hellboy movies – 2004’s Hellboy and 2008’s Hellboy: The Golden Army – were both fantastic in their own right and while the new movie was originally intended to be a follow-up to them, the idea of a completely new take on the character is undoubtedly an exciting one.
In this video, we’ll be running you through some incredible facts about the upcoming reboot.
The facts in question about the new Hellboy movie are; that David Harbour will be playing the titular character (and he’s perfect for it), that American Gods’ Ian McShane will be playing Hellboy’s adoptive father, that Resident Evil’s Milla Jovovic will be playing Nimue (the movie’s main villain), that it will explore the world of sorcery with a number of magical characters, that it will feature demons, ghosts and giants, that it will have a predominantly British setting, that it experienced some controversy with regards to whitewashing accusations, that Hellboy creator Mike Mignola helped to write the screenplay, that Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, The Descent) is directing the movie, and that, rather excitingly, it will be R-rated.
