For many of us, Nick shows are ingrained in our minds. We know episodes of Rugrats by heart, can quote SpongeBob all day, and love to recite catchphrases from shows like iCarly. Unfortunately, there are some moments in Nick’s long history we cannot unsee, even though we wish we could. Let’s go back in time to some of these cringe-worthy moments and wonder how they even made it to the air in the first place.

The Rugrats was a pretty innocent show, but the animators were able to sneak in a few jokes through product designs like gummy bears. Double Dare is a classic Nick game show with a lot of great physical challenges, but early in the show’s run, host Marc Summers took things a little too far. Nick is not known for as many original movies as the Disney Channel, but they did attempt to release a horror film by the name of Crybaby Lane back in the year 2000. Squidward has a lot of miserable times at the Krusty Krab, but he did take time to make a joke about females. Legends of the Hidden Temple may be one of the most rigged game shows in history and knowing some behind the scenes facts will completely change your view. Ren Stimpy always pushed limits with some odd story choices including one including a cousin named Sven. Gibby got the chance to go on Jimmy Fallon, but his actions broadcast some inappropriate scenes to the masses. Watch to see all these hidden details and several others you probably missed!
