We’re all still reeling from the disappearance of half of the Avengers at the end of Infinity War. Sure, the old guard of Iron Man, Captain America, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, and Black Widow as well as some supporting heroes were lucky enough to survive Thanos’ shocking snap. But that doesn’t mean they’re safe for Avengers 4. Based on everything we know from the comics and some rumors swirling around the internet all signs indicate to a massive showdown in the follow up to Infinity War and we’ll likely see some major sacrifices along the way. Some keen-eyed MCU fans might have the foresight to successfully predict these outcomes, but here are 10 of the most insane fan theories out there revolving around some “dead” Marvel characters who just might return to strike vengeance against Thanos.
With another Guardians of the Galaxy sequel in the pipeline, there’s no doubt we’ll see Star-lord and Gamora return in some fashion. Volume 3 of that franchise won’t be the same without them. Plus, Mantis will probably be back for more too. And although Vision and Scarlet Witch’s love affair seemed doomed from the start, we probably haven’t seen the last of them either. But there are even bigger reappearances that we expect to see. Bucky, T’Challa, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man and Nick Fury all haven’t been able to fully explore the arcs they inhabit in the comics, so there’s no doubt they’ll return to fight another day too!
