Doctor Strange 2 Will Change The MCU Forever

Get out your frame by frame examinations and open up your Marvel sourcebooks, the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has dropped a trailer and some tv spots and it’s a cornucopia of easter eggs and hints that we’ve been in the shared universe this whole time. The unmistakable voice of Sir Patrick Stewart has upended the entire idea of canon in the MCU and that’s only the beginning of the implications in the trailer. It also comes down to why Sir Patrick is there and who his friends are. Marvel’s ultimate superband of superheroes, the ones brought together to prevent major Earth threatening events and instead either making them worse or causing them outright appears ready to set Earth 199999s Doctor Strange right, including it appears a total of four different versions of the Bleeker Street Magician to contend with from undead to slick hair to power hungry. Not only has the trailer inferred that every Marvel movie ever is canon to the multiverse, it has reached into the animated world as well with Sinister Strange joining super soldier Peggy Carter and the undead. A Marvel of either the Danvers or Rambeau variety will be taking on a Scarlet Witch who is having none of it. The second Strange movie might even reach into franchises that never were, with rumors of a Tom Cruise Tony Stark. WIth hints of the other reality ripping entity the TVA it’s safe to say that the MCU will never be the same again. Even the Merc with the Mouth appears to be part of the growing slate of characters. What do you think the future will be when the dust settles? Sound off in the comments and be sure to like and subscribe for the latest in your inbox. Also, keep a look out for Sam Raimi’s ‘73 Oldsmobile.

10 Mistakes You Missed In Encanto

Well, Disney has done it for the 60th time. They’ve put out another animated musical that will infect all your karaoke nights and gatherings around pianos with a charming story about family with catchy songs. This time it’s an entirely inhouse story of the Family Madrigal and their magic enchantment that not only protects their village from the outside world but also gives the Family Madrigal special magical powers. Well, except for the central character Mirabel. It’s a heartfelt story that explores the complexity of family relations, the things we hide, and the things we don’t see in our family members and the weight that these things can create for family members. And of course a lyric book from Lin Manual Miranda to round things out. But while the movie is incredibly charming and the story affecting…I wasn’t crying, you were…there are some things that don’t quite add up once the overture fades and the tissues are dispensed. It turns out that one of the reasons to not talk about Bruno is that some things about the family’s erstwhile prognosticator don’t quite add up. That doesn’t even touch on the complicated relationship between Abuela and Mirabel, and why won’t Casita at least give Mirabel her own non-magic room instead of making her stay in the nursery? Let’s look at some of the big questions from Disney’s big 6-0. What did you think didn’t make sense? Doctor Strange 2: Who Will Be In The Illuminati

The new trailer for Doctor Strange 2 has fans who aren’t knee-deep in plot leaks excitedly wondering if this is our first glance at the Illuminati – a group that, in the comics, basically operates in a similar way to the real Illuminati – er, theoretically real (WINK WINK). They’re a bunch of hyper-intelligent superheroes who make decisions on massive conflicts wherein the world’s safety is in the balance. While they aren’t usually meant as a judge ‘n jury type of team like, say, the TVA, they are nonetheless the most likely group in the trailer. However, we don’t actually know exactly who all is on the team – so let’s take a look at both the all-but-confirmed and likely members.

Obviously the one we have to start with is Professor X, since that is 100% Patrick Stewart’s bald noggin and luxurious voice in the trailer. If it’s not I’ll pull a Herzog and eat my own shoe. In the comics he’s a part of the Illuminati from the get-go, and among other things helps to turn Marvel Boy away from his more villainous predilections. A scene I love, by the way, is when Reed Richards is explaining the original Captain Marvel to Noh-Varr through an old memory presented through Xavier’s psychic abilities. Top notch stuff right there. Of course the important bit here is that this would be the official introduction of the X-Men and mutants in general to the MCU… unless of course, you know, this is all a trick and Marvel is playing us

Book Of Boba Fett: 25 Things You Missed

With the first season of The Book of Boba Fett (or The Mandalorian Season 2.5 as I like to call it) in the bag we can review and assess a season packed full of Easter Eggs, hidden details, introductions to new/old characters and cool behind the scenes facts. So in this video we are going to take a journey in our N-1 Starfighter (if only) to the arrid sands of Tatooine and go over 25 (or so) things you might have missed in the show.

We will take a look at the history of characters making their debut in live action, the callbacks and references to the prequel trilogy (especially Phantom Menace), we will look at the new droids that made it into the show (and their importance in the grander world of Star Wars), the references to classic cinema (and in particular Westerns) that inspired the franchise, all of the references and mentions of greater Star Wars lore (such as the B’omarr Order), secret cameos from familiar faces, references to the plethora of comic books, how it paved the way for the sequel trilogy, the callbacks to the likes of Clone Wars and The Bad Batch, the odd continuity error here and there, references to The Mandalorian and of course, plenty of Easter Eggs to the Original Trilogy without whom this wouldn’t have been possible. So let’s ride through this video like a Bantha and to a Galaxy Far, Far Away and, you know, other Star Wars references.

What did you make of this video? Which was your favorite entry? What did we miss? Were you a fan of the show and want to see a second season? Let us know in the comments below and make sure to subscribe to the channel today for all this and more.

The Batman Will Be Different Than Any Other Batman Movie

The Batman is heading our way with a March 4th arrival, meaning that the Batman I’ve wanted since I was a little Bat Fan is almost here. That’s right – based on what we’ve seen so far, I am elated because this appears to be the exact Batman film I’ve been asking for since the days of collecting those swanky Batman Forever mugs from McDonalds. But what exactly is it that makes this Batman different from the live action iterations that came before? Welp, this one is going to be tough to fully explain due to how much all of the series tends to pull from the same sources – but there’s definitely something different about this new film!

Director Matt Reeves has specifically noted that he wants his Batman to be more POV-driven, i.e. giving more time in the narrative over to what makes him tick and why he does what he does, as well as the struggles inherent therein.

Per Reeves’ interview with Empire: “When I considered, ‘How do you do Bruce Wayne in a way that hasn’t been seen before?’ I started thinking, ‘What if some tragedy happened [ie: Wayne sees his parents murdered] and this guy becomes so reclusive, we don’t know what he’s doing? Is this guy some kind of wayward, reckless, drug addict?’ And the truth is that he is a kind of drug addict. His drug is his addiction to this drive for revenge. He’s like a Batman Kurt Cobain.”
