The Batman: Behind The Scenes Secrets

Gotham City’s Dark Knight is back at his crime fighting ways. Of all the superheroes to make the leap and bound to the big screen, the Caped Crusader has at the most at bats…get it? At bat, bats…ah, you get it. Robert Pattinson is the seventh person in the tenth movie for ‘world’s greatest detective’. That’s a lot of pressure to come up with something unique to do with the character. You can only go so dark before it’s just an audio play in a pitchblack movie theater. First step, let’s skip the depiction of Thomas and Martha Wayne getting shot in Crime Alley. I think we’re all familiar with how Bruce Wayne went from rich kid to vigilante. After Ben Afleck stepped away from the cowl, director Matt Reeves was brought in and wanted something so separate that it wouldn’t even fit in the burgeoning DC Comics shared universe. While we don’t get another slow motion shot of dropping pearls Reeves still set his story early in that vigilante career where he’s not yet an expert at being the Dark Knight or Bruce Wayne. From ‘70s film noir influences to many repeated takes to get just the right expression from an actor there’s a lot that went into making this version of The Batman turns up the gritty and dark once again. Phase 4 Events That Already Changed The MCU Forever

We’re Barely Halfway Through But Things Are Already Getting Crazy

With every new phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, things change. The continuity gets more complex, the stories diverge and branch off into more and more sub-stories, the post-credit scenes get more involved (and more people stay behind in the theatre to watch them, not just the usual nerds). Think Tony Stark and his PTSD after the Battle of New York. The ramifications of Sokovia and the Age of Ultron (well, the Week of Ultron, more accurately). Thanos and the Snap, or the Blip, or whatever you want to call it. Disney and Kevin Feige and the rest of the MCU brain trust keep raising the stakes, and while Iron Man, Steve Rogers, Black Widow and other Avengers may be no more, we can count ourselves lucky that Peter Parker, Spider-Man, Shang-Chi, the Eternals, Doctor Strange, Captain America, Falcon, the Winter Soldier, Ms Marvel, She-Hulk, Moon Knight and America Chavez are waiting in the wings.

We’re onto the fourth chapter of this sprawling multiverse of madness, and already we’ve had enough seismic moments to put other movie franchises to shame. And it’s nowhere near over yet! We’ve still got Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Fantastic Four, The Marvels, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Blade to come. But even at this mid-way point, this world of superheroes and villains is already looking very different.

Buckle up as we look at the 10 biggest game changers from Phase 4 so far…

25 Tiny Details You Missed In Spider-Man Movies

Today we’ve got a whole slew of little details from across the Spider-Verse, i.e. everything from 2002’s Sam Raimi original to No Way Home. For example, while in NWH there’s that DITKO graffiti in the background of the roof scene, Spider-Man 2 notably introduces Mr. Ditkovich, a character who I was a little bummed didn’t show up to rent a crappy apartment to Peter Parker. By the way, quick tangent – the question of how Pete is able to afford the apartment in New York bugged me at first, but as some people who’ve actually had the time to watch it again have noted, the landlord specifically says that rent is due first of the month – still, kinda suspect that he’s not asked to, like, seemingly provide anything up front. Not that it really matters – it’s a movie. Just thought I’d mention it ‘cause peeps have brought it up. Also, who knows, maybe he was workin’ the streets. ANYWAY, the point is that Mr. Ditkovich is a reference to Steve Ditko, making him the reigning champ of Ditko easter eggs. And talkin’ TASM, did you notice the cryo-tank being wheeled around after Norman dies? It’s easy to miss, and you might have been distracted by the green laser over Norman’s body, but if you take a look at some leaked concept art it turns out that one of the Sinister Six display cases at the end was originally meant to contain Norman’s cryogenically frozen head as a setup for his return in future movies, presumably that scrapped Sinister Six movie.

Another 20 Details You Missed In Encanto

Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back In The Casita

Encanto has turned out to be a monster hit, one of the most popular Disney animated movies since the likes of Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, Moana, Tangled, Coco, and Zootopia. Kids and adults alike have loved the story of the Family Madrigal – from heroine Mirabel and the fantastic performance by Stephanie Beatriz of Brooklyn 99 that brings her to life, to all-conquering viral Tik Tok pop sensation ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’. Just like Inside Out, Wall-E, Finding Nemo, Toy Story and other beloved Pixar gems before it, the movie makes us laugh and cry, telling a story of loyalty, magical abilities and looking to see things as they really are.

Helping in this department is one of the best and most complete Mickey Mouse House soundtracks since the days of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman and their genius work on Aladdin. Of course, if you’re going to do a Disney musical, you might as well get someone like Hamilton, In The Heights and tick, tick…BOOM! writer Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Confession – we actually like Luisa singing ‘Surface Pressure’ better than the one everyone’s talking (or not talking) about.

The movie is so popular that people keep coming back for more behind-the-scenes stories, hidden easter eggs, facts and secrets. And we’ve got 20 more of those for you. So sit back and find out, among other things, who sings the fastest words in Disney history…

MCU Phase 4 New Suit Secrets

Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has brought both stunning upgrades to existing characters like with the Black and Gold Suit in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and entirely new outfits associated with the superheroes who just joined the roster of comic heroes like Shang Chi. Adapting a costume is no easy task, it’s a tough balancing act ensuring that they are comic accurate, yet are detailed enough that they are magnificent to look at.

Like all things in the MCU, a great deal of planning and design work went into each and every costume, but what kind of secrets did the costume designers hide in these new suits? From interesting adaptations like the Eternals costumes taken a cue from the incredible work of Jack Kirby, to the headcanon that Vincent D’Onofrio brought to the Kingpin’s costume when he arrived in Hawkeye- there is a meaning to everything!

Let’s dive right into some fascinating behind-the-scenes stories where we find out exactly how our favorite movies and TV series like Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Loki, and Wandavision drew inspiration from the comics, the entertainment industry, and even the real world.

Beyond just the costumes, let’s also examine how de-aging technologies were used to make Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin appear exactly as we had remembered in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy!

Season 2 of Euphoria finally dropped and while the show covered a lot of ground, we still have more questions than answers! Sure, the season was great and who didn’t like watching Cassie get what she deserved? But did anyone else wonder where Mckay went? From the fate of Ashtray and Fez to characters we didn’t even know existed, Mr. Levinson has a lot of explaining to do going into Season 3. We have a feeling that’s going to looming over Rue’s sobriety for the entirety of Season 3. But Seriously, there’s a whole other Jacobs brother? How?
