2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport – Redline: Review

With the death of the Evo, Eclipse, Montero, and Galant, Mitsubishi has no doubt, been struggling to find their identity in the states. Thankfully, their best-selling Outlander Sport has been a huge success for the brand, the latest version hasn’t seen any major changes since its 2010 introduction and with the sub-compact SUV segment heating up, a replacement can’t come soon enough.

With the Civic Type R now in the lineup, the Si no longer has to play the role as the highest performance Civic. With its new position, Honda switched to a more efficient 1.5L turbo engine, and simplified the option sheet even further with buyers no longer getting a choice of factory navigation. With only 205 horsepower and subtle styling tweaks over a Civic Sport hatch, has the new Si lost it’s charm, in addition to losing VTEC?

After a decade on the market, the original Audi Q7 gets a long awaited redesign, just in time to do battle with the newest entries in the very competitive large luxury SUV segment. With the available supercharged V6, air suspension, and four-wheel steering, the latest 2017 version is one of the best driving large SUV’s we’ve ever tested. Only a cramped third row seat, high price tag, and somewhat safe design may have some buyers checking out the competition.
