In this video I take a look at iBooks as part of my three way comparison to decide the best iPhone and iPod touch eBook app.
iBooks is an eBook app specifically for Apple devices and as such shines on the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s level of polish is second to none and it features the tightest integration with iOS. However the lack of additional device support beyond the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad hurts.

In this video I take a look at Kindle as part of my three way comparison to decide the best iPhone and iPod touch eBook app.
Kindle has a lot of good things going for it, including a solid reading interface, outstanding library of both paid and free titles and support for multiple devices.

In this episode of D3Live I discuss some of the rumors about the upcoming iPad 2 and iPhone 5, the next generation Apple products. The second generation iPad 2G is due out in April and should feature several new features such as a SD card slot, an improved display as well as both front and rear facing cameras.
The next iPhone 5 should be available in July and be a total redesign of the iPhone, including a new dual-core Apple A5 processor, the possibility of a design without a home button and improved camera quality.
D3Live is a weekly show I do live every Saturday at 3PM Eastern time live on BlogTV. If you are interested in asking me questions for the video or just watching the show live keep an eye out as I will post a video here on YouTube before I begin. http://www.blogtv.com/people/duncan33303

http://www.ted.com There’s an angry divisive tension in the air that threatens to make modern politics impossible. Elizabeth Lesser explores the two sides of human nature within us (call them “the mystic” and “the warrior”) that can be harnessed to elevate the way we treat each other. She shares a simple way to begin real dialogue — by going to lunch with someone who doesn’t agree with you, and asking them three questions to find out what’s really in their hearts.

http://www.ted.com It takes an entire civilization to build a toaster. Designer Thomas Thwaites found out the hard way, by attempting to build one from scratch: mining ore for steel, deriving plastic from oil … it’s frankly amazing he got as far as he got. A parable of our interconnected society, for designers and consumers alike.
