Harvey Fineberg: Are we ready for neo-evolution?

http://www.ted.com Medical ethicist Harvey Fineberg shows us three paths forward for the ever-evolving human species: to stop evolving completely, to evolve naturally — or to control the next steps of human evolution, using genetic modification, to make ourselves smarter, faster, better. Neo-evolution is within our grasp. What will we do with it?

Game Boy Player Review

I review the Game Boy Player for the Nintendo GameCube.

In 2003 Nintendo released the Game Boy Player DOL-017, an add-on for the Nintendo GameCube that allowed you to play Game Boy (GB), Game Boy Color (GBC) and Game Boy Advance (GBA) games through the GameCube on your TV. The Game Boy Player plugs into the parallel port on the bottom of the GameCube and allows you to insert Game Boy games into the Player and boot the GameCube with the use of the included disc.

D3Live: iPod touch 5G and iOS 5

In this episode of D3Live I talk about the iPod touch 5G and iOS 5.

With the year rapidly moving along I think it’s about time to take a look at the iPod touch 5G as well as the next major iteration of iOS, iOS 5. The next generation 2011 iPod touch should be a moderate upgrade and include the Apple A5 processor from the iPad 2, a better camera, perhaps a larger 3.7 inch display and a new redesign. The iPod touch 5 release date is typically is expected to be September 2011 however it may be delayed due to the iPhone 5 delay.

iOS 5.0 is also coming soon and should be on the iPod touch 5G. iOS 5 should have several key improvements including deeper OS level support for social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, likely to be dubbed FriendStream. Other possible additions include widget support and a new UI.

Apple with the iPhone and iPod touch App Store has a very different way of doing it compared to Google and the Android Market so today I compare both to help determine which is the best for you including the the selection of apps, the pricing and the interface to access the store.
