Brazil’s 16 best freestylers battled in Fortaleza for a place in the upcoming Red Bull Street Style World Finals in Tokyo, Japan. The crowd in Beiramar amphitheater witnessed the comeback of Murilo Pitol, national champion for the second time. In 2008, the freestyler from Cariacica placed 3rd in the first World Final, in São Paulo, Brazil.

Os 16 melhores atletas de futebol freestyle se reuniram em Fortaleza para brigar por uma vaga na final mundial do Red Bull Street Style, em Tóquio, Japão. Os fãs presentes no anfiteatro da Beiramar presenciaram a volta triunfal do capixaba Murilo Pitol, campeão nacional pela segunda vez. Em 2008, na primeira edição primeiro mundial, em São Paulo, Murilo ficou com o terceiro lugar.

As this year’s Red Bull Ride + Style approached, the competition was looking its toughest yet, with a solid track and fixed freestyle lineup from around the world. Competitors new and old geared up and hit the course at Justin Herman Plaza hoping to take home the coveted first place trophies.

Artwork on the ramps and course features from established street artists RISK, Tristan Eaton, Insa and San Francisco local Sam Flores brightened up the space and helped blend the two distinct cultures that have mutual respect for each other. The crowd of more than 5,000 spectators was not disappointed.
