Zwei Küsten, 40 Kilometer und 400 Starter: Mit Red Bull Coast 2 Coast fand am 7. September 2013 das längste und größte Rennen in der Geschichte des Kite-Sports statt. Am Fehmarnbelt galt es die 40 Kilometer lange Strecke von Niobe (Fehmarn) bis nach Lalandia (Dänemark) und wieder zurück zu bezwingen. Jeder Kitesurfer, egal ob erfahrener Amateur oder Profi, hatte die Möglichkeit, sich für das Rennen anzumelden. Doch nur wer das Spiel mit Wind und Wellen im Griff hat und als Schnellster die Marathondistanz absolviert, kommt bei Red Bull Coast 2 Coast am Ende als Sieger aus dem Wasser.

Two coasts, 40 kilometers and 400 competitors. Red Bull Coast 2 Coast, took place on September 7th 2013, is the longest and biggest kitesurf races of all time. A distance of 40 kilometer from Niobe, Fehmarn to Lalandia at the Danish coast and back had to be ridden. Everybody whether beginner or pro had the chance to participate at the race but only the fastes long distance kiter can win at Red Bull Coast 2 Coast.

As the chairlifts at Kirkwood Mountain Resort came to a halt this past spring, the Snow Park Technologies (SPT) snowcats were powering up. For twenty days, an SPT crew of seven professional designers, shapers and builders logged over 1,200 hours constructing the slopestyle course of Bobby Brown’s dreams. Three years ago the Denver, Colorado-based professional athlete was asking his fellow pro skier friends, “What’s next for slopestyle skiing?” His answer is Red Bull Megaslope, a 2,750-foot long course that flawlessly incorporates six epic features winding across the natural terrain of the mountain.
