Day 4 recap. Today was about assembling the front end, knocking out more wiring, and adding trim. But, the biggest deal today was installing the TMI interior. Yea, what would normally take months at a custom interior shop will be accomplished in mere hours by the guys at TMI. Day 3 recap. Day 3 is all about the little things that need to be done, but don’t make you feel closer to having the car on the road. Number one on the list of necessary, but somewhat tedious, tasks is wiring. Yep, it needs to be done and it needs to be done right, but it’s certainly not as exciting as dropping in big parts like the engine. Our goal for today, and it will happen before anyone leaves our MotorTrend Tech Center, is to have the body mated to the chassis. While one team tackled the chassis the other one worked on doing projects on the body such as the Old Air Products A/C system and the Painless wiring. Our goals for today were to have the chassis finished with the brakes and fuel system plumbed and the LT1 and Magnum sitting in place.
