Still feeling the effects of a crash back in Colorado at Round 3 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships, James Stewart found himself frustrated and out of patience. With the #7 Suzuki docked in the garage, James worked through his frustrations in the gym. Taking a hard look at the championship and his career, he looks to refocus his efforts and get back on top.

Approximately 25,000 amazed spectators lined the Garrison Channel at the Tampa Convention Center, turning the downtown community into an amphitheater fit for 40 of the world’s top wakeboarders. The three-day event hosted riders from eight different countries and showcased talent in Park, Boat, and Big Air. The camaraderie of the competitors only brought out the best in flips, tricks, and jam-packed action. In the end, a podium of riders would round off the world’s best in wake. Winners Harley Clifford (Boat) and Raphael Derome (Big Air; Park) took home top prizes and bragging rights, with Raphael Derome of Canada sweeping the competition by claiming the overall title.

The 10-day journey continues from the Twin Cities down to Texas. The crew stops in Kansas City, where they find a river walk with some fun spillways, dams, and an epic hubba ledge where they throw down some awesome tricks. After making a couple pit stops, the boys drive down to Dallas, Texas, where they find a perfect recreational spot, followed by an insane night session at the Hydrous Cable Park.

Along the road to Loretta’s, riders are faced with increasing pressure. Week after week, the need to make it in becomes more urgent and more dangerous. This week Christina Older and Alex Frye converge on the Windy Hills Regional Championship in Ellerbe, NC, while Zach Fulkerson pursues his final shot for making the cut at Three Palms in Conroe, TX for the South-Central Youth Regional Qualifier. Still searching for qualifying positions, they were put to the ultimate test in racing. With one last shot to make it in, it was a do-or-die situation for our young hopefuls if they were to advance to the next stage of racing – the Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s.
