Photographing America’s Wounded Soldiers in Iraq – Nat Geo Live

Can the public handle seeing photos of wounded American soldiers? In 2004 photojournalist Lynsey Addario took an assignment with a major U.S. magazine photographing wounded Americans coming out of Fallujah. But the magazine deemed the images too disturbing for publication and informed Addario that the photos would not be published.
