يعيش مواطنو ولاية تكاس الأمريكية حالة من القلق الشديدة مع اشتداد قوة إعصار هارفي الذي ضرب ساحلها مساء الجمعة كإعصار من الدرجة الرابعة، فتسبب في وفاة العشرات، واحتجاز المئات على أسطح منازلهم. ويتوقع خبراء الأرصاد الوطنية ازدياد معدل هطول الأمطار في اليومين المُقبلين، وأشاروا إلى أن الماء قد يصل في بعض المناطق إلى 127 سنتيمتر. كما يخشى المسؤولون أن تسبب الفيضانات في انهيار السدود.
