Animators seem to know that plenty of parents are watching the films with their children. This is one of the main reasons they have inserted jokes or references exclusively for the adult viewing crowd. Some of your favorite children’s movies include these jokes in them and it can add an extra layer of fun for viewers.

In Space Jam, the film alternates between live-action scenes and scenes featuring Bugs Bunny and his pals. During a scene with NBA players, Patrick Ewing is asked a dirty question that only parents would understand. Shrek pushed the limits with some of their jokes, including some innuendo about a castle and the name of the main villain in the film. As the kids explore the Monster House, they get a little more than they bargained for when confusing various body parts. In the live action 101 Dalmatians, Cruella De Vil had some pretty crazy things to say about the film’s characters. The Little Mermaid features a classic wedding scene with a moment that was edited out of future releases. Miss Piggy really gets around in Muppet Treasure Island, whether Kermit likes it or not. You can hear a zebra with a dirty mouth in the film Madagascar. The Rugrats Movie features a lot of great puns and references, but also showcases two kids talking about some birth procedures. Mrs. Doubtfire is on the edge when it comes to a kid’s movie and there is some pretty vulgar humor from Robin Williams. The Road the El Dorado has a pretty controversial scene featuring two characters in some crazy positions. Watch to see all these adult jokes as they appeared in the movies!
