Facing Christmas 3,000 miles from his estranged wife and two children, New York policeman John McClane (Bruce Willis) flies to Los Angeles bearing presents and hoping to patch up his marriage. Stylish and cool Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) is in Los Angeles as well for the holiday season, but he’s not there to give out presents. He’s there to take: more than $600 million in negotiable bearer bonds from the multinational Nakatomi Corporation, where McClane’s wife Holly (Bonnie Bedelia) is an executive. When the takeover becomes hostile, it’s up to John McClane to take on the terrorists with all the grit and determination he can muster–but not without a sense of humor.

THE GREAT WAR. War, war never changes, but Fallout games do. With Fallout 76 officially announced, it gives us another opportunity to dive into the lore and figure out once and for all who started the great war.

War, war never changes, but Fallout games do. No matter where we are in the Fallout universe, we can always rely on two things: the bleak and hopeless feeling of dread one gets from traveling the wasteland and plenty of violence. Oh, and old classic songs to sing along to. Can’t forget about those. Bethesda has teased the new Fallout game, Fallout 76, just a few years after the release of Fallout 4. While there have been additions to the franchise in the form of new mechanics, weapons and locations, the core story and overall theme has stayed the same. You’re a lone outlander on a quest to survive in the wasteland after the bombs fell, but how did they fall?

This has been speculated and theorized throughout the Fallout fan base and, while pockets of lore give us an understanding of what life was like before the bombs fell and the general aftermath of the event, we’ve never been given any kind of definitive answer as to what exactly happened. We see some kind of normal life before the bombs fall in Fallout 4, but that was just in the short first part of the game and only served as a sort of slice of life moment for us as the player character. In Fallout 76, we are citizens of Vault 76, the first vault to be opened celebrating America’s Tercentenary or three hundred year anniversary. Since this is closer to when the bombs fell, this game could give us more insight into what happened and why these vaults were made in the first place.

In the world of Anime, it seems as though magic and the supernatural are everywhere. The most ordinary seeming people are extraordinary in some way or another, even if what makes them extraordinary can take a while to reveal itself. These everyday anime characters are everything but that, as they all possess some spectacular hidden abilities. In the Musaigen no Phantom World series, the protagonist Haruhiko develops the ability to summon and trap demons using his beloved sketchbook. In the Donten ni Warau series, an orphan named Tenka Kumo must care for his two younger brothers before it is revealed that he is the reincarnation of a gigantic serpent monster who has cursed Japan for centuries. High school student Hibiki Kuze is one of the main characters in the anime series Devil Survivor 2: The Animation, a vampire hunter who gains the ability to summon demons in the war against evil. Tokidoki, the main character of Amatsuki, is the son of two absentee parents, and when he finds himself trapped in a virtual reality, becomes a soldier in a war between humans and demons. In Vampire Reign, Yu is a member of a vampire fighting squad called the Japanese Imperial Dragon Army, but is revealed to have a little more demon in him than expected. These amazing characters are only a handful of the thousands of super-powerful Anime characters that are out there, each one totally different from the last, and all who seemed totally normal until they were called to rise to become something greater.
