The Marvel Cinematic Universe is officially the highest-grossing movie franchise of all time, so it’s obviously incredibly popular.

However, in terms of its characters, it certainly does have some glaring absentees who would make it even better if they were in it – and the X-Men are definitely among them.

However, there’s a chance they could appear very soon in the MCU and this video will theorise how that could start with Wolverine making his presence felt in Avengers 4.

The idea is based on a number of factors – not least the fact that Wolverine is incredibly popular and one of the few characters who’s been in both the X-Men and the Avengers (which would make him the ideal character to bridge the gap between mutants and the existing characters of the MCU).

There’s also the fact that Wolverine made his comic book debut in a Hulk comic, so having him go up against the Hulk in an Avengers movie would be a fitting MCU debut for him.

There are, of course, a number of other reasons why this theory was conceived, but you’ll have to watch the video you hear more about them!
