For nearly 30 years, the #Ford #Explorer has been the staple of family SUV’s in America. After a long 8 year run on the previous model, the 2020 Explorer has been radically redesigned, even if the outside may not look it. Riding on a new rear-drive architecture and available in a new Hybrid and sporty #ST trims, this 6th generation may very well be the best Explorer that Ford has ever built.

#Cadillac was once the pinnacle of American luxury and unfortunately has been struggling to find sales in the last few years. With the discontinuation of all their sedans, crossovers are the future for GM’s luxury division. For 2020, we are seeing the 2nd all-new vehicle expected to be released every 6-months, this #XT6 is designed to offer buyers who want to space of the Escalade but without the bulk and fuel thirst. Next to its rivals, it seems like Cadillac may have played it a bit safe, especially when you look at the design and engine specs. #NAIAS

The cause of Europe’s snow chaos

At least 26 people have died in Europe since the beginning of the year – in avalanches and accidents related to the record snowfalls on the continent.

In the latest incident, three men were killed in an avalanche near an Austrian ski resort. A fourth person is still missing.

Sky’s science correspondent Thomas Moore looks at what’s causing the extreme weather.
