It’s finally here. We’ve all waited so long for this card to arrive on the market. Here’s my unboxing of the first one to reach my greedy paws: The PNY GeForce GTX 480 XLR8 edition.
Going to compare this card against it’s top two competitors from the red side, the Radeon 5970 and the Radeon 5870. The GTX 480 is actually very efficient in terms of card length:power ratio. If you have a short case, this might be the card for you.
After discovering that the weight of this card is not as bad as I thought, I’m not really that worried about it anymore, but you can certainly click through to see how we arrived at the conclusion.
