Search Pro Application Review

In this video I review the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad application Search Pro. Search Pro allows you to easily search almost any site on the internet all from within a single application. It comes preinstalled with several presets including Google, Wikipedia, Dictionary, YouTube and more. You can also add your own search engines to the application as well making it very useful and customizable. It also features a very sleek interface similar to the standard springboard, allowing you to scroll through pages, move icons around as well as delete them.

Search Pro is currently $0.99 in the App Store.

VFX Tests!

Before we use an effect in a movie, we need to test it first! This is a compilation of some of the effects we’ve been working on! Created with a variety of programs, including 3DS Max, After Effects, Rayfire, Fume FX, and more.

While we haven’t been able to incorporate all these effects into our films yet, bits and pieces of them have made it in. Rayfire is one of our favorite plugins, since it’s awesome to have giant structures crumbling and falling over.

What effects do you guys think work best, or would like to see more of?

Nintendo 3DS: First Details

In this video I go over the first solid details we have on the Nintendo 3DS, the upcoming Nintendo handheld console and successor to the very popular DS line. Thanks to some information from Kotaku we now have a good overall picture of what we can expect to see when they announce the 3DS at E3 this year. The first thing is obviously a 3D screen paired with what looks to be a camera to track your face and tailor the 3D effects of the screen better. The touchscreen might remain the same, although I tend to think that it will be upgraded to a capacitive screen from the current resistive screen that is in the DS. Graphics also stand to be improved to be on par with the Gamecube/Wii which certainly will be great in conjunction with the 3D effects. The Nintendo 3DS looks to be a major upgrade from the DS line while preserving full backwards compatibility which should make for a great console.
