Why Does Battery Life Suck?

In this video I go over how to improve battery life on smartphones, laptops, tablets, game systems and other portable electronics. For example in 1999 Apple sold the PowerBook G3 which had a 333MHz CPU and 5 hours of battery life. In the 11 years since, the MacBook Pro now comes with a quad core 2.5GHz processor which is many times faster and yet only has about 7 hours of battery life.
