AbFab Sneak Peek #1: Kardashians & the Royal Wedding!

Watch an exclusive sneak peek from the all new ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS 20th Anniversary Special before the U.S. Premiere *** Sunday January 8 at 10/9c *** on BBC America.

Find out which American reality TV powerhouse family has Edina (Jennifer Saunders) & Patsy (Joanna Lumley) comparing to “a new disease… that spreads like Herpes”? And trust us, you can’t afford to miss Bubble (Jane Horrocks)’s hysterical, laugh out-loud reenactment of the Royal Wedding!

Two decades ago, the brash and hilarious Patsy and Edina first introduced themselves to the world, and we’ve never been quite the same. And if there’s one thing the two champagne-swilling divas know best is how to mark a special occasion… and how to show up late and get completely pissed!

Don’t miss as comedy sensations Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley reprise their celebrated roles as Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone, in the first of three new episodes written by and starring Saunders, with Lumley, Julia Sawalha, Jane Horrocks and June Whitfield.

Twenty years ago, the world was introduced to Edina (aka Eddy), Patsy (aka Pats) and Saffron (aka Saffy)… and it has never been quite the same. Eddy PR’d things. She was into every new fad and fashion imaginable and was often to be found at the bottom of a champagne glass, actually more likely a bottle. Not much has changed now. Her best friend Patsy worked in magazines and lived the high life. She still does. Eddy’s daughter Saffy was hard-working, all but ignored by her mother and hated by Patsy. Eddy’s mother was and is, well, her mother.

In the first of three all new Specials celebrating the 20th Anniversary, there’s a homecoming for one of them who’s been ‘away’ for quite some time. She arrives at Edina’s household with a new – and slightly scary – best friend. Her presence could be either a blessing or a disaster, raising questions of identity that could even involve a certain person owning up to her real age … if she can remember it.
