Next Level of BMX Racing – Red Bull R.Evolution 2012 Berlin

Red Bull R.Evolution lifted BMX racing to the next level as 5,000 spectators watched Dutchman Twan van Gendt grab victory at Berlin’s Mellow Park ahead of Corben Sharrah (USA) and Mike Day (USA).

Freestyler, die sich mit Highspeed auf einem Race-Track messen, Racer, die sich mit atemberaubenden Tricks über den Zielsprung werfen: Das ist Red Bull R.Evolution am 24. August 2012 im Berliner Mellowpark. Red Bull präsentiert damit ein völlig neuartiges Eventkonzept für internationale und nationale BMXer, das erstmals zahlreiche Freestyle-Elemente in einen Race-Parcours mit absolutem Flow integriert. Der Grundgedanke dahinter: weg von Regularien und starren Vorschriften, zurück zu den Ursprüngen des BMX und dem reinen Spaß am Fahren. Nach vielen stressigen Wettkämpfen in dieser Saison für die internationalen Top-Rider eine willkommene Abwechslung. Die Race-Strecke, die eigens für den Event im Berliner Mellowpark gebaut wird, bleibt anschließend bestehen. Das macht den Mellowpark zum größten und vielseitigsten Trainingsspot in Deutschland.
