جيمس بيكر: لم نتوقع أن يُقدم صدام على غزو الكويت

أكد وزير الخارجية الأمريكي الأسبق، جيمس بيكر، أن الولايات المتحدة قد بذلت جهوداً مُضنية على مدى عام كامل من أجل إقناع صدام حسين بالانضمام مجدداً إلى المجتمع الدولي، لكنه دأب مراراً وتكراراً على إدارة ظهره لبعض مطالب الولايات المتحدة.

جاءت تعليقاته ضمن الحلقة الأولى من برنامج “الذاكرة السياسية”، الذي يذاع على قناة “العربية” مساء الجمعة، ويقدمه الزميل طاهر بركة.
