Red Bull Fortress Challenge, a unique mountain bike event returned to Qatar for the second time. On a 20km track packed with natural obstacles, bumps, rough soils, as well as ups & downs, more than 120 of the best riders from all around Qatar raced for the Red Bull Fortress Challenge title. This year’s race, a second edition after 2010, witnessed a high participation level.

الى قطر عادت مسابقة “ريد بُل تحدّي القلعة” للمرة الثانية، ومعها عاد تحدي غزو القلاع على الدراجات الجبلية، في سباق شاق ومثير .فعلى مسار امتدَّ على مسافة 20 كيلومتراً، تخللته عوائق طبيعية ومطبات وأرضيات وعرة وطلعات وانحدارات، انبرى حوالى 120 من نخبة الدارجين في قطر على التنافس على لقب “ريد بُل تحدّي القلعة”. وتميَّز سباق هذا العام، وهو الثاني بعد النسخة الأولى التي أقيمت في العام 2010، بإقبال كثيف على المشاركة وبمزيدٍ من العوامل التي رفعت منسوب الإثارة والتحدي، لناحية الموقع الذي تمَّ اختياره والعوائق التي استُحدِثت طوال المسار.

This week on The J-Turn, Jessi Lang heads to Buttonwillow Raceway Park to prepare for her upcoming Chump Race at Daytona, where she’ll face 119 other competitors. With the help of Motor Trend contributor and race car driver, Randy Pobst, and Motor Trend’s vehicle coordinator, Scott Mortara, Jessi get schooled on how to handle traffic on the track and learns the intricacies of passing and being passed.

After discussing the envelope of awareness, the classic clean pass, the draft pass, and the late apex pass, the three hit the track in separate cars to simulate a real race. Find out whether the 2013 Subaru WRX STI SE, the 2013 Subaru BRZ, or the 2013 Mini Cooper S Coupe make it out of the race in one piece.
