“المافيا”، عصابات إجرامية منظمة، يرجع تاريخها إلى القرن الثالث عشر مع الاحتلال الفرنسى لأراضى صقلية عام 1282م، وتكونت على إثرها منظمة سرية لمكافحة الغزاة الفرنسيين كان شعارها: “Morte Alla Francia Italia Anelia”ويعنى هذا الشعار “موت الفرنسيين هو صرخة إيطاليا” وتشكلت كلمة “مافيا”، “MAFIA” من أول حروف هذا الشعار, وذلك قبل أن تتحول المافيا من مقاومة للاحتلال إلى عصابات إجرامية ترتكب كل الجرائم .
تاريخ ونشأة المافيا
يرجع تاريخ ونشأة المافيا إلى القرن التاسع عشر بجزيرة صقلية، حيث سيطرت العصابات المسلحة، وأصبحت تمتلك قوة اقتصادية وسياسية واجتماعية، وضمت فى أعضائها رجال أعمال وأفراد من الحكومة، وفئات من الطبقة الأرستقراطية، امتد نشاط المافيا إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وذلك بهجرة الكثير من أعضاء المافيا الصقليين إليها خشية الاضطهاد والسجن، ثم انتشرت بين العديد من دول العالم، وحتى اليوم تظل المافيا الإيطالية والأمريكية هى أقوى المنظمات الإجرامية بالعالم، كما أنها لا زالت تحتفظ بعلاقاتها مع المافيا الصقلية التى نشأت منها.
ويشارك بعض كبار القيادات والزعماء فى العالم بشكل سرى فى المافيا عن طريق غسيل الأموال وتهريب الأسلحة وعقد صفقات المخدرات وتهريب الآثار، وبالرغم من الجرائم المنسوبة إليها فلا يزال تأثيرها قويا على الساحة السياسية والاقتصادية فى العالم.
