علماء يحاولون تفسير ظاهرة غامضة تسببت في تحول نسبة كبيرة من سكان قرية صينية إلى أقزام.
يحاول علماء معرفة سر قرية “يانغسي” النائية في مقاطعة “سيتشوان” جنوب غرب الصين، والتي حيرتهم لعقود من الزمن لأن 40 % من سكانها أقزام ومتوسط أعمارهم ما بين 36 إلى 80 عاماً ولا يوجد أي تفسير علمي منطقي لهذه الظاهرة ما أدى إلى منحها لقب “قرية الأقزام”.
وقد حاول سكان القرية تفسير الظاهرة من خلال الأساطير والقصص التي وجدت طريقها إلى عقول السكان وكذلك للقرى المجاورة، فطبقاً لشيوخ القرية، فقد كانت قرية عادية وسعيدة إلى أن جاءت ليلة صيفية منذ أعوام وأفسدت كل شيء حيث انتشر بينهم مرض خبيث جعل السكان يعانون من حالات غريبة، وتأثر كل الأطفال من سن الـ5 حتى الـ7 وتوقفوا عن النمو جسدياً وظلوا لبقية حياتهم، كما عانى البعض أيضاً من حالات إعاقات مختلفة.
وقد توافد العلماء والخبراء على القرية، لدراسة المياه والتربة والحبوب في المنطقة والأفراد المتضررين أملاً في جمع بعض النتائج المقنعة، ومع ذلك، لم يتمكنوا من تحديد سبب هذه الحالة إلا أنه مرض انتشر في عام 1951 وظل ينتقل من جيل لآخر لتتحول القرية إلى لغز غامض.
بطبيعة الحال، بدأ القرويون أنفسهم يعتقدون بأن قوى الشر تمكنت من قريتهم، بعضهم يلقي باللوم على المنطقة نفسها لكونها ملعونة، في حين يظن آخرون أنه كان يجب على أسلافهم دفن موتاهم بشكلِ أفضل ولكن التفسير الأكثر غرابة حدث منذ فترة طويلة، عندما قام رجل يدعى “وانغ” بالإمساك بسلحفاة سوداء لها أقدام غريبة وأخبره البعض أن يدعها وشأنها ولكنه فضل قتلها وأكلها وعندها أصابهم المرض، حيث اعتقدوا أن السلحفاة هي السبب.
وعلى مر السنوات، هاجر العديد من سكان المنطقة خوفا من التأثر بهذه الحالة غريبة، ولكن يبدو أن الأمور تتحسن الآن، في حين أن العديد من السكان المحليين من كبار السن يصل طولهم إلى 80 سم، فالجيل الجديد لم يتأثر بشكلِ كبير بظاهرة التقزم.
