New Audi E-tron GT review. Would you have an RS E-tron GT over a Porsche Taycan? | Autocar

This is the new 2021 Audi E-tron GT, Audi’s new electric saloon, which shares loads of its underpinnings with the Porsche Taycan. And it’s tested here in not just one but two versions.

First up, the RS E-tron GT, the 637bhp really quick version of the new battery electric E-tron GT. It costs some £110,950 before options, can crack the 0-62mph sprint in 3.3 seconds and has a range of 283 miles.

Then there’s the (slightly) lesser E-tron GT Quattro, as powerful as a ’60’ Audi according to the Audi configurator and the company’s slightly weird naming system. To you and us, that means it has up to 523bhp and a ‘slower’ 0-62mph time, although that still means 4.1 seconds. Its range, though, is 298 miles and it costs from £79,800 in the UK. Although that only gets you a white car with no options, so you’ll add to that in no time.

Here’s what they’re like. Can cars which share so much with the Porsche feel that different to the Taycan? Or could they even be better than the Porsche?

Gaming Tech That Failed Us

Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Sub_to_TheGamer

If there’s one thing you can rely on with technology, it’s that companies will always find a way to be innovative. Sometimes, innovation leads to success, but they’re not always positively correlated. There have been some huge flops in the tech world and these flops have bled into gaming tech as well. Seriously, there have been some huge console blunders in the past and the same mistakes continue to be repeated today. It’s not just consoles, as we’ve even seen gaming peripherals and accessories fail to leave a mark time and time again.

The Wii U was a big flop for Nintendo because the console didn’t know what it was. The Google Stadia followed in the footsteps of other similar ideas, but its subscription service let gamers down. The PlayStation Vita had great build quality but a terrible long term plan and the opposite was true about the Xbox 360. The Kinect was a cool accessory until Microsoft ruined everything with the launch of the Xbox One. Nintendo had their fair share of flops not called the Wii U, including the 64DD, Virtual Boy and Power Glove, but their biggest mistake of all was the Philips CD-i. The Ouya console was an android catastrophe.

There’s more gaming tech that failed us than just that so enjoy the video, let me know what you think is gaming’s biggest flop in the comments section below and don’t forget to subscribe to TheGamer for more gaming tech content.
