زينات صدقى كانت راقصة وتزوجت أحد الضباط الأحرار وباعت عفشها لتسديد الضرائب…!!

ولدت في 4 مايو 1913، في حي الجمرك بالإسكندرية، واسمها الحقيقي زينب محمد مسعد.
التحقت بالمدرسة الإلزامية ثم الابتدائية لكن أهلها منعوها من استكمال الدراسة، وقرروا تزويجها في سن صغيرة.
تزوجت لأول مرة وهي في الـ15 من عمرها، وكان أحد أقاربها، وذكر موقع «الأهرام» أنه كان ابن عمها وكان يعمل طبيبًا، لكن الزواج لم يكمل عامًا واحدًا، حيث تم الطلاق بعد 11 شهرا فقط.
تزوجت بعد فترة قصيرة من ملحن مغمور يدعى إبراهيم فوزي، وفقًا لموقع «الشرق الأوسط»، لكن تلك التجربة انتهت بالطلاق أيضا، وهو ما نفاه موقع «الأهرام» مؤكدا أنها لم تتزوج من «فوزي».

بدأت التعلق بالفن، ودرست في معهد «أنصار التمثيل والخيالة»، الذي أسسه الفنان زكي طليمات.

بدأت حياتها الفنية بالعمل كمونولوجست وراقصة في الأفراح الشعبية في الإسكندرية، لكن أسرتها اعترضت على ذلك وأصروا على تركها العمل الفني، فاضطرت إلى الهرب منهم وسافرت إلى الشام، وبالتحديد إلى لبنان.
رافقتها في رحلة هروبها إلى الشام صديقة لها كانت تدعى خيرية صدقي، ومن هنا جاء لقبها فاختارت أن يكون اسمها زينب صدقي.
بدأت العمل في السينما في منتصف الثلاثينات، وقدمت دورا في فيلم بعنوان «الاتهام»، عام 1934

برعت في أدوارها الثانوية فكانت دائمًا خادمة البطلة أو صديقتها، لكنها استطاعت أن تؤدي تلك الأدوار ببراعة، حتى أن الجميع كان يتذكرها بشكل أكثر تأثيرا من البطلة، وبالأخص في الأدوار التي شاركت فيها إسماعيل يس وعبدالفتاح القصري، وعبدالسلام النابلسي.
تزوجت من أحد الضباط الأحرار والده كان عمدة، وفقًا لموقع «الأهرام»، وكانت تحبه بشدة، وقالت عنه، وفقا لموقعي «الشرق الأوسط»، و«الأهرام» إنه حبها الأول والأخير لكنها انفصلت عنه أيضًا بسبب طلبه أن تترك الفن، لكنها رفضت وتفرغت تمامًا للفن.

بعد إغلاق فرقة إسماعيل يس، عام 1960 انضمت لفرقة الفنانين المتحدين ثم «ساعة لقلبك»، لكنها لم تستطع العمل وظلت في بيتها لسنوات قدمت فيها أفلام قليلة جدًا، حتى قدمت آخر دور لها عام 1976 في فيلم «حكاية بنت اسمها محمود».
في الستينات اضطرت إلى بيع أثاث بيتها بالكامل، وكان غالي الثمن، من أجل تسديد الضرائب، واشترت أثاثا آخر أقل منه في الثمن، وقيل إنها فعلت ذلك حتى تؤمن لنفسها المال بعد أن تدهور بها الحال.
كرمها الرئيس الأسبق محمد أنور السادات عام 1976 في «عيد الفن»، وطلب تكريمها بالاسم، وأعطاها «شيك» بقيمة 1000 جنيه، ومنحها معاشًا استثنائيًا، وقيل إن الفنانة هند رستم هي التي أعطتها جيب وبلوزة كي تحضر به الحفل بعد أن كان الحال تدهور بها ماديًا.

كان السادات يحبها ويقدر فنها بشدة، حتى أنه دعاها لحضور فرح ابنته، وفقًا لموقع «الأهرام» الذي أكد أن السادات أعطاها رقم تليفونه الخاص وقال لها: «أي شيء تحتاجي إليه أطلبيه فورًا يا (زينات)».
أصيبت بهبوط في القلب وماء على الرئة وظلت تعاني من المرض لفترة قصيرة.

رفضت الذهاب للمستشفى أو تلقي العلاج على نفقة الدولة، حتى توفيت في 2 مارس 1978.

Last month while launching rockets with my friend Ritchie Kinmont with http://SonicDad.com , he mentioned that as a kid, he used to make his own improvised igniters by wrapping very thin wire around paper matches, so that when you’d touch the leads to a battery, it would ignite.

Until recently, I’ve been lighting smoke flares and home made rockets with the use of a fuse. While the fuses have proved very reliable, they do pose a few hazards. Firstly, they occasionally fall out, and could easily catch surrounding items on fire. And secondly, you can’t control exactly when the rocket will launch because the timing is always random. So if the wind were to pick up and blow your launchpad over, you wouldn’t be able to put out the fuse. That would be a dangerous situation!

So in an effort to gain more precise control over rocket launches, I played around with some ways to make homemade ignitors, also known as “electric matches” to launch my rockets with the press of a button.

In this video I demonstrated that they will ignite pyrotechnics on command as well, which could be useful for 4th of July fireworks as well! 🙂

I spent countless hours in my workshop playing and prototyping with different kinds of cords, matches and batteries, to finally develop and confirm a system that does, in-fact, ignite matches 10/10 times.

Although these igniters are one time use only, I’m extremely excited about this idea because they are made from things you probably have around the house right now .. meaning anyone can make them for cheap, or free.

Ritchie and I did a lot of field testing with these ignitors with our home made “Randomizer Rocket”, and proved they work exactly as hoped. Look for that video coming soon 😀
