حيوانات استخدمت كأسلحة خطيرة بالحروب

الأفيال :
الافيال هى أقدم الحيوانات التى استخدمت فى الحروب بعد الخيل
فقد استخدمها القائد القرطاجى ( هانيبال ) فى حروبه مع الإمبراطورية الرومانية فى الفترة من ٢١٨ ق . م إلى ٢٠١ ق . م
وفيما بعد إستخدمتها الامبراطورية الفارسية لأكثر من ٥٠٠ عام كسلاح اساسى فى جيوشها

الخفافيش :
خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية قام الجيش الأمريكى بتطوير قنبلة تحتوى على خفافيش حقيقية
حيث يتم إلقائها من الطائرات وتنفتح القنبلة أثناء الهبوط لتخرج منها الخفافيش و تختبأ بمعسكرات ومنازل العدو
ويحمل كل خفاش منها جهاز ذاتى الأشعال قادرعلى بدأ حريق بالمكان لينتهى الهجوم بإحراق الأهداف بالكامل
وقد استخدمت القنبلة بالفعل فى هجوم على مدينة يابانية عام ١٩٤٣

الدب المحارب :
الدب ( فويتيك ) وجده الجنود البولنديون صغيراً في تلال إيران عام 1943 فأخذوه وأطعموه وكبر وتدرب على حمل القذائف والأغراض ومهاجمة الأعداء وقد أصبح جندياً كاملاً في الجيش البولندي مع اسم ورتبة ورقم وبعد الحرب نقل إلى حديقة حيوان حتى وفاته في 1949

الدلافين:
تم إستخدامها في البحرية الأميركية منذ أكثر من 40 عام وذلك كجزء من برنامج الثدييات المقاتلة البحرية وقد أستخدمت بالفعل فى حرب فيتنام
ويتم تدريب الدلافين للكشف عن الألغام والسباحين المعادين والغواصات وإذا ما وجدت أي جسم مشتبه به تلمس جهاز يحمله يرسل أشارة لجهاز استشعار على متن القارب لتنبيه مدربها

القطط :
قامت المخابرات الأمريكية خلال فترة الحرب الباردة مع الأتحاد السوفيتى باستخدام القطط فى التجسس كجزء من عملية تعرف بـ ( كيتي )
وذلك من خلال إجراء عمليات زرع أجهزة تنصت بالقطط وذلك للتمكن من التصنت على المحادثات السوفيتية في الحدائق العامة والنوافذ
ولكن الطريف أن العملية فشلت بالكامل بعد أن دهست سيارة أول القطط المدربة بعد أن تكلف المشروع ١٥ مليون دولار

كلاب مضادة للدبابات :
استخدم الاتحاد السوفيتي الكلاب في الحرب العالمية الثانية لمواجهة الدبابات الألمانية وذلك عن طريق تلغيم الكلاب وتدريبها للبحث عن الطعام في أسفل الدبابات ومن ثم تفجيرها
يقول السوفييت أنّهم قاموا بتفجير 300 دبابة ألمانية بهذا الأسلوب ولكن الارجح أنّها مجرد طريقة لتبرير البرنامج الذي لم يكن فعالاً بسبب رفض الكلاب في بعض الأحيان البحث عن الطعام أسفل الدبابات المتحركة خوفاً من تعرضها للدهس
