One week of protests in Lebanon

What began as a spontaneous protest about WhatsApp calls has turned into a nation-wide rallying cry for change.

Hundreds of thousands of people have flooded the streets of Beirut and cities across Lebanon voicing their anger at government corruption, inefficiency and a lack of basic services.

Donald Trump claims victory in Syria

Russian troops have begun patrols on the Syrian border to remove Kurdish fighters as part of an agreement with Turkey.

As they began, Donald Trump said a ceasefire in the region was being made permanent and he would lift sanctions on Turkey.

As our Sky correspondent Amanda Walker reports, he claimed vindication for his handling of the crisis.

Police try to identify 39 bodies found in container

A lorry and its trailer containing the bodies of 39 people have been removed from the scene in an Essex industrial estate.

They were found dead in Grays after officers were called at 1.40am this morning. The cab and refrigerated container have now been moved to a secure location at Tilbury Docks where the bodies will be removed.
