The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, suggests he’s not 100% confident Labour will win the election.

He told Sophy Ridge: “My fear is, as it stands at the moment, this election may solve nothing.

“And we may be back in a dysfunctional parliament in a few months’ time – with the rest of us in the real world dealing with things that they are completely neglecting.”

Former US Secretary of State and Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton says Donald Trump doesn’t “care about or understand” the law.

Mrs Clinton was speaking to Sky News about the ongoing impeachment hearings – which the president has branded a witchhunt.

She also expressed sympathy and support for the family of Harry Dunn, the British teenager killed in a collision with a car driven by the wife of a US diplomat, who left the country claiming diplomatic immunity.

A man has been arrested at Heathrow airport after Turkey said it had deported a British Islamic State suspect.

Scotland Yard said the 26-year-old was held “on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts under section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006”, adding that it was “Syria-related”.

The Home Office has refused to disclose any details, saying it does not comment on individual cases.

William Taylor, a top US diplomat in Ukraine, revealed new information that his staff had told him they overheard Mr Trump on the phone in a restaurant asking about “the investigations”.
